DEI Committee

Recognizing that musical theater has historically been and often continues to be a predominantly white space, BUOB’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee works to foster an inclusive, respectful, and equitable environment within On Broadway. They serve as a resource for underrepresented members and work with the Executive Board and creative teams to discourage the tokenization of actors with marginalized identities and encourage inclusive casting, equitable leadership, and accessible, culturally-conscious programming.

Our DEI Committee welcomes anyone and everyone with a passion for theater and a drive to improve the BUOB experience — no prior involvement with BUOB required! We hold monthly committee meetings, and we’d love to have you there!
